Modern Bread and Bagel was born out of love for food, travel, and a desire to recreate favorite foods without gluten. Founded by Orly Gottesman and her husband Josh after his celiac diagnosis, the bakery offers a 100% gluten-free and nut-free menu inspired by the flavors of New York, Paris, Sydney, and Tel Aviv. From kettle-boiled Ancient Grain Bagels to signature pastries and vibrant brunch dishes, everything is baked fresh daily to provide a safe and delicious experience for all.

Yes, our facility is 100% gluten-free and celiac safe.
Our items are oat-free with the following exceptions (all contain gluten-free oats): Pre-Packaged Brioche and Challah Mix, Oat milk available for coffee orders, and Breadblock Baguette, Buckwheat Sourdough, and Olive Bread (West Coast only).
We use Blends By Orly gluten-free flour in all of our products.
Yes, we have a variety of vegan and dairy free breads, cakes and pastries!
Bagels and breads have a shelf life of 2-3 days at room temperature in sealed plastic bags. We recommend slicing and toasting before eating. For freezing, slice bread and store it in freezer safe Ziploc bags for up to 3 months. When ready to eat, remove slices from the freezer and toast. DO NOT refrigerate the breads, as it will dry them out.
