The Theme: Love From Colorado.
This box includes a variety of tasty gluten-free products made with love from eight AMAZING Colorado companies. I’m a Colorado native and love living in the Centennial State, so I figured, why not kick things off by sending subscribers tasty treats from my home?!?
What's Inside:
(1) 34º Crisps is a growing gluten-free brand based in Denver, CO. You may have seen their tasty crackers in grocery stores.
The company recently launched a cheesy snack-sized cracker called Mates. These crunchy crackers are so new that most grocery stores don’t carry them (yet), but Love Me Gluten Free subscribers got the opportunity to sample the Original Cheese Crisps. They also come in Caramelized Onion, and Rosemary & Garlic flavors.
(2) Altitude Snacks is based in beautiful Steamboat Springs, CO, and makes premium trail mixes with clean, non-GMO ingredients and NO ADDED SUGARS. Yes, you heard me—NO added sugars.
These nourishing and delightful snacks contain a mixture of nuts and dried fruits to help activate your inner glow without any of the icky ingredients and added sugar.
Subscribers received one of four Altitude Snack flavors - but I highly recommend trying them all because each mix is different. Altitude Snacks offers a variety pack of all four flavors - that's what I recommend ordering.
The Mountain Magic blend, for example, contains dried pineapple, fuji apples, jumbo raisins, cashews, and pecans. The Alpen Glow contains dried peaches, golden berries, coconut, cashews, and almonds. These mixes are thoughtfully put together and are truly delicious. I've tried them all!
(3) Canyon Bakehouse, based in Johnstown, CO, makes tasty and wholesome gluten-free bread, including fluffy English muffins.
I sent the English Muffins to all Love Me Gluten Free subscribers because it's one of my favorite products from Canyon Bakehouse. Plus, I figured English Muffins were harder to find in stores, so I thought including them in the boxes would be fun.
Canyon Bakehouse is a beloved brand within the gluten-free community, and I'd say it successfully achieves its mission of helping YOU love bread again.
(4) Justin's Peanut Candy Pieces or Peanut Butter Candy Pieces were featured inside the April box, along with two portable almond butter packets.
The Boulder-based company makes products with clean ingredients that are also non-GMO Project Verified. I love that Justin's colors its candies with natural ingredients like turmeric, spirulina, and black currant rather than artificial colors and dyes.
(5) Lentiful is based in Broomfield, CO, and makes tasty instant lentil cups. These portable, nutrient-dense meals (not soups!) are also high in protein and fiber, offering a nutritious meal to enjoy at the office or on the go!
Love Me Gluten Free subscribers received Lentiful’s #1 best-selling flavor: Homestyle Chili. Lentiful also comes in various flavors, including Mexican Green Chili, French Mirepoix, Thai Coconut Curry, Pineapple "Chorizo," Tomato Bolognese, and Vegetable Harvest.
If you love the Homestyle Chili inside the April box, I recommend ordering a variety pack. You will love having these convenience meals on hand to take wherever you go.
(6) Outrageous Baking is based in Longmont, CO, and makes tasty, sweet breads that are gluten- and dairy-free. You can find these treats in Whole Foods, Natural Grocers, Safeway, and perhaps more commonly, at local coffee shops throughout Colorado. I guess you need to come for a visit, don't you?
The owner of Outrageous Bakery told me that their most popular flavor is Lemon Poppyseed. Take a bite, and you'll understand why it's their best flavor, although I'm throwing no shade at the Cinnamon Coffee Cake, Chocolate Zucchini Bread, Pumpkin Bread, Cherry Chocolate Chip Bread, and other great flavors you'll find from this local bakery.
I love how each slice of bread is individually wrapped. I think it would be a great item to bring to a baby shower, wedding shower, or afternoon tea party where gluten-y and gluten-free items might be on a dessert table. These sweet breads are individually wrapped and clearly labeled. Your gluten-free guests will thank you.
(7) Pastamore is based in Denver, CO, and makes artisan small-batch pasta. In the summer, you can find Pastamore at farmer’s markets throughout Colorado, and its unique pastas are also available at specialty shops nationwide.
You must visit the Pastamore website to see all of Pastamore's fun and surprising flavors and shapes. Because everything is handmade, the inventory varies from week to week.
Love Me Gluten Free subscribers received either the Italian Herb Blend Penne or the Lemon Garlic Orzo. Both are certified gluten-free by the GFCO.
(8) Perky Jerky & Savage Jerky are two gluten-free jerky brands from Denver, CO, and they both make premium jerky using all-natural ingredients.
For Perky Jerky, take your pick from the company's tender turkey, wagyu beef, or plant-based jerky. The premium cuts of meat are marinated in a unique blend of all-natural ingredients to ensure the jerky is tender and flavorful.
Savage Jerky is hand-crafted small-batch beef and bacon jerky made with natural ingredients. The company uses its signature rub to ensure maximum flavor in every bite.
I recommend stocking up on your favorite flavors, so you always have this protein-rich snack wherever life takes you!
The Mystery Gifts:
Canvas Tote: Part of the fun of the Love Me Gluten Free subscription box is that it includes a monthly Mystery Gift. The Mystery Gift is a non-food item and might be something related to the box's seasonal theme or something I want you to have or know about.
I wanted our inaugural box to be special, so I included this huge canvas tote bag. This sturdy bag can hold A LOT of products and display your gluten-free pride.
Bonus Sticker: I also included a fun sticker that says "High on Gluten-Free," which goes with the Love From Colorado theme. (Get it? Denver is the Mile "High" City?)
You can affix the sticker to your laptop or water bottle to show the world that you're proud to be gluten-free.
