Are your products certified gluten free?
Yes. Our products are certified by GFCO, the Gluten-Free Certification Organization, and they are made in a gluten-free certified facility. We have been baking gluten free since 1988.
What allergens should I know about?
Our facility is gluten-free certified and peanut free, but our products are produced on equipment that also processes tree nuts, coconut, eggs and soy. Individual products vary: our Pancake & Baking Mix contains milk and almonds, while many of our mixes are dairy free, egg free or vegan. Check the label on each product for its full ingredient and allergen statement.
Which of your products are dairy free or vegan?
Quite a few. Our 1:1 All-Purpose Flour, Biscuit and Scone Mix and Chocolate Cake Mix are dairy free, egg free, soy free and vegan. Others are not: our Pancake & Baking Mix is made with cultured buttermilk, and some of our bars and cookies contain dairy. Each product page lists exactly which applies.
What can I make with the Pancake & Baking Mix?
Pancakes are just the beginning. It is the mix behind our most-loved waffles, banana bread, blueberry muffins, drop biscuits, crepes and coffee cake. One 24 oz bag makes about 34 pancakes, and it has 8 grams of whole grains per serving with no added sugars.
How long have you been making gluten-free food?
Since 1988, when Pamela Giusto-Sorrells started the company in her own kitchen in Northern California. That was long before gluten free was easy to find, and the recipes have been refined ever since with the same approach: what we leave out matters just as much as what we put in.
