Some nights, you want a homemade dinner without all the chopping, prepping, and dirty dishes. That's where Bellycious comes in!
We featured the Bellycious Beef Bolognese Pasta Kit in our October Love Me Gluten Free box, and it's one of those convenient pantry finds that makes gluten-free dinner a whole lot easier.
All you need is ground beef and a little olive oil. The gluten-free pasta and tomato basil sauce are already included, and everything cooks together in one pot!

Meet the Bellycious Pasta Kits
Bellycious makes gluten-free Italian pasta kits designed with sensitive stomachs in mind. They're low FODMAP, lactose free, and, of course, gluten-free!
The Beef Bolognese Pasta Kit includes fusilli made from rice, brown rice, corn, and quinoa, along with a flavorful tomato and basil sauce packet.
These "kits" also come in other flavors - so there's plenty of choices and we recommend trying all three - now available in the Love Me Gluten Free Market!
Here's what makes these kits worth knowing about:
- Certified gluten-free: One less thing to worry about at dinnertime.
- Lactose-free and low FODMAP: A convenient option for people managing additional dietary restrictions.
- Simple ingredients: The sauce features tomatoes, basil, olive oil, and sea salt.
- One-pot convenience: The pasta cooks right in the sauce. No separate boiling or draining required!
- Easy to customize: Add ground beef or diced eggplant to make it your own.
What You'll Need
Included in the Bellycious kit:
- Gluten-free fusilli pasta
- Tomato and basil sauce
From your kitchen:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef (or 3.5 ounces diced eggplant for a vegetarian option)
- Water, according to package directions
- Salt and pepper, to taste
How to Make One-Pot Gluten-Free Beef Bolognese
- Brown the beef. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pot over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned and fully cooked.
- Season. Add a little salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the kit contents. Pour in the Bellycious gluten-free fusilli and tomato basil sauce, then add the amount of water specified on the package. Add more, if needed. I noticed at high altitude, I needed a bit more water.
- Simmer. Stir everything together and simmer according to the package directions until the pasta is tender and the sauce has thickened.
- Serve and enjoy! Spoon into bowls and top with fresh basil or Parmesan cheese, if desired.
That's it! Everything cooks together in one pot, including the pasta. No separate boiling, no draining, and fewer dishes to wash. What's not to love?!
A Few Ways to Make It Your Own
Want to change things up? Here are a few easy ideas:
- Switch up the protein. Try ground turkey, sausage, or diced eggplant instead of beef.
- Add some greens. Stir in a handful of spinach toward the end of cooking.
- Make it extra cheesy. Finish with freshly grated Parmesan or your favorite dairy-free alternative.
- Serve it with a side. Add a simple green salad or a slice of gluten-free garlic bread.
